Im not to sure about this film. I dont see Ewan McGregor as an action type man, not that i dont want to see him being all hero and macho like :) Does anyone else want to see this film?

I want to see it. I think the movie looks good. It has a strong visual style to it. Only time will tell :)

Scarlett is nice to look at...an ok actress but she is a bit samey lol. Like Kiera Knightly. They act the same in every film! Maybe this one will prove otherwise :)

really, you think? i like her, acting and looks. kiera not so much. i still think the leather, "bra" thing she wore in arthur was mental.

sorry off topic. i do want to see this movie. i've always loved ewan and am curious about where they are going with the topic.

King Arthur was sooo bad! I actually like Clive Owen. Closer was a great film. And yes i love Ewan too :D

i like clive owen too. i was disappointed because it had so much promise, and it was beautiful to watch. i haven't seen closer. i will though. got a little thing for jude. (heehee)

I went to see The Island last evening. What a good movie. There were a lot of action sequences, but aside from that the plot of the film was great and not too farfetched.

It's entertaining enough, but don't expect anything too profound. Most of the so-called message has been said before and much better in other movies.

There are entire scenes that reminded me of THX1138, Coma, Logan's Run, Running Man, . . . well you get the idea. Not a whole lot of originality, but for people who haven't seen those movies or read too much science fiction, it will undoubtedly seem thought-provoking and unique. My dh thought it was great.

Solid acting made it more palatable for me. Really just another sci-fi action flick for the summer box office.

Just came back from The Island. I went in expecting Michael Bay, and got Michael Bay. Two and a half hours of thrill ride entertainment. I love going to movies for the sole purpose of becoming absorbed into the movie... a place to disappear for a while.
