This is my first post here and will not be the last, i have been needing to join a good book forum. i want to find some new authors and some new books. Get out of the rut of reading the same stuff.

i recently have heard of a book, it's not new it was written in the 1800's if i was told the right information. The title i cannot remember and i need some help figuring out what it was called. It sounded like such a good book when i was told about it. It was something like "The Portrait of Gene Gray" or something like that. It could have been "The Picture of Gene Gray". All i know is it's "The Portrait/Picture of..."

If anyone could tell me the title of this book i would be very greatful. Apparently it's a pretty famous book, i don't know why i can't find it.

Thanks in advance :)

That's Oscar Wilde's lovely The Picture of Dorian Gray
You can read the whole novel here: http://www.upword.com/wilde/dorgray.html
For some reason I was sure we had a discussion here, but I must be mixing it up with a different board. Anyways, you definitely have a treat in store - I also advise you to explore some of Wilde's other work (notably the play "The Importance of Being Earenest")

That's it! I couldn't quite remember whether it was the "picture" or the "portrait", so had to go and look it up!
