what series book am i reading?

currently I am reading the Inspector Wexford series by Ruth Rendell. I enjoy superior stories by terrific writers who create a series character who grows over time and who leads an interesting life in the world and in his interior thoughts.
Just a few series I truly enjoy:
Ian Rankin's Rebus
Henning Mankell Wallander
P.D. James Dalgeish
Christopher Fowler May and Bryant
Andrea Camillieri Montalbo

I just spotted this thread, pretty much because of the poor spelling in the title. No, these threads are useless as a) you have a Currently Reading section in your profile, and b) if you want to talk about a book, no matter how little, start a thread on it.
