The Wiggles......why?

O.k., my older boy is hooked on this show. You know, the four english guys on lithium. He dances around and around, claps, and smiles from ear to ear when they appear on the screen. Anyone else have tykes or know of tykes who just love this? Personally, I think only young children and people who are stoned can appreciate the wiggles,....though I do have to admit that kids could watch worse.

Yeah they are from Oz! You have to appreciate songs about fruit salad and spaghetti! I mean come on ;)

I bought the Wiggles do Something or Other for my nephew last Christmas. I wasn't sure if he would like it (not knowing what the Wiggles were myself). He was hysterical about it. I guess he watches the show every day, but didn't have any videos of his own. I didn't watch the video with him, but I did get a chance to catch a show on my own once. I thought it was a lot more useful than something like Blue's Clues which just seems to talk down to kids.

It amuses me what kids will watch nowadays and I look back on the kind of things that my friends and I would enjoy. It ranged from Thundercats to My Little Pony. Early morning cartoons were the best. The only good thing about getting up for school was that I could watch Woody Woodpecker while I was having breakfast.

I reckon you're just jealous that you aren't making millions by jumping about being happy, singing about pirates, octopi and dinosaurs while wearing colourful skivvies!

Kids back home love this stuff, and quite frankly I think it's great. These guys are presenting innocent songs that kids can dance to and be active doing while learning new things and watching characters that are just lovable. Far better than Teletubbies where they repeated the same video over and over and spoke nonsense. These guys, who incidently have an early childhood education background, talk to the kids in ways that make 'em laugh and smile. Whatever is the matter with that?

Gotta love the Aussies:D First it's a nut running around catching crocs and snakes, now this!:p

We don't have the wiggles on here, my kiddos claim to be too "OLD" to watch them

Looks like a cute show

My boys love them!!! I see nothing wrong with that. There's stuff far worse, that's for sure

And they happen to be four of the richest men in Australia.

That's right - see here. Anthony Field (blue wiggle) was also the Cleo Bachelor of the Year a few years back, but I think he's since married.
