OK I did a search and didnt se this mentioned yet.

In my opinion the movie Timeline really sucked next to the book, which was awesome! I cant beleive they casted that dope from the fast and the furriest (I cant stand those movies) Overall the movie semi followed the story, but as usual the book was a little to complex to fit in a 2 hour movie. In short I was very disappointed in the movie. Sorry for the rant.

I am in complete agreement with you :) I love the book, it's fantastic, I really enjoy books that shift between the past and the present (another very good one is Temple by Matthew Reilly) However I was very disappointed with the film, IMO it was a complete waste of time and money

Ice can you give me a brief summary on Temple? I've never heard of it, but am always looking for a good book.

Temple is excellent :)

Here's the blurb:

"Deep in the Jungles of Peru, the race of the century is underway.
A race to locate a legendary Incan idol - and idol carves out of a strange kind of stone. A stone which in the late 20th century could be used as the basis for a terrifying weapon.

The US Army wants that idol - at any cost - but they are not alone...

The only clue to the idol's final resting place lies in a 400-year-old manuscript. Enter Professor William Race, a mild-mannered young linguist, who is unwillingly recruited to translate the manuscript and lead the Army team to the idol.

And so begins the mission. A mission that will lead Race and his companions to a mysterious stone temple hidden in the foothills of the Andes. A temple seething with menace and danger.
But only is it when the temple is opened that Race and his team discover that they have broken a golden rule...

Some doors are meant to remain unopened."

The two parts of the story are linked, the first part follows the proffesor and the team of US soliders, and the second takes part during the Spanish Conquest of the Incas in 1535. The manuscript they are trying to decipher is an account of what happened during the conquests :)

Let me know what you think of it :)

Mine too!

You did mention it before, but I forgot all about it lol  Adding it to my wish list now :D

Do it, do it now!! And put all the rest of his books on there while you're at it!!

Go on, they're cool!!

Temple's a stand alone :) The other's aren't written in the same way, but they're fairly good nonetheless.

This Temple book kinda sounds like a rejected Tomb Raider-script.

Cheers, Martin

:) There's quite bit of action and he doesn't really go into too much depth on the characters, but it's still a brilliant read :D

Still sounds like a rejected Tomb Raider-script.

You're not doing a great job selling it, Ice.

Cheers, Martin
