top ten books for highschoolers?

Anything Chris Crutcher, ALex Flynn, Graham McNamee, some Sarah Dessen, Jacqueline Woodson, the Go Ask ALice series, definite Marsden, and so many others. I think it's important that the book have some relevance to the student or it loses it's message. Books have always been a commentary on society. As society changes so do the books and the kids.

There's a series? Or do you refer to the other diaries Sparks tried to pass off as non-fiction?

That's what I mean.....whether they are fiction or non they still have value. I work in a school where each one of the characters from those books is sitting in my classes. WHen I have books stolen from my classroom, 90 percent of the time it's these titles.
