Ugly Betty

I'd go out with ugly betty on a crazy bet, maybe, but I mean come on! she is one wickedly ugly dudette! I mean, I don't wanna seem to shallow er nothin' but, she is brutal on the eyes, man! Just plain brutal on the eyes! I mean, what is she, a gorgon?
..I mean, I've gone out with chicks before who wusn't exactly beautiful... but nothin' like uuuuuugggly betty! I mean, what can I say, I got standards.
..I mean, when I saw that movie I had to walk out! I just had to walk the heck out. But even as I left the theatre I could still feel that huge ugly betty face behind me, grinning like a man loving ogre!
 
they should show the movie ugly betty on flights, that way you got yer barf bag nearby and an oxygen mask if you need it

what's the attraction, I just don't get it!
 
This week's episode (02.19.09) was pretty nice. Betty was pretentious once again... I can't believe that she didn't understand the art behind fashion...

So I'd been meaning to talk about "Maria Laguerta" (Dexter) as an addition to the show. It made me wonder if I just ruined the 3rd season of Dexter for myself (Lenny! Don't say anything!) since I haven't watched anything past the first episode (of Dexter season 3).
I like that actresses character in Ugly Betty. It's much softer than her character in Dexter.

But what I really liked about this last episode is Betty's new guy! He's a cutie!
 
I read that ABC is putting Betty on hiatus in March and when it comes back, whenever that is, it will be on a different night. Seems it's not doing too well in the ratings.
 
I heard that new episodes were scheduled to appear in June! ABC said that they were confident that the show would continue to do well.
Have you been watching? I think I've only seen in once when it actually airs. Normally I watch it on the weekends online.
 
Yay, it's back.
  • Matt isn't as cute as I thought he was (maybe I'm just not liking his character or this story arc).
  • I love Amanda and her "pornographic memory."
  • Christina's gonna go crazy!

All story lines have been tied up.
Thank goodness there was no kiss between Daniel & Betty! Thank you thank you thank you.
Series finales never feel satisfying. I liked last weeks episode much more than this one.
I'm gonna miss you Amanda!
 
It was good. It was good as it could be since it was rushed because ABC dropped the hammer on them. I liked when betty grabbed Mark and went "Gotcha!".
