Utopias and Dystopias

Sirrah

kickbox
Hey all i've been currently been reading alot of Utopian and Dystopian novels, but im running out of titles. I've read alot of Ayn Rand (The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged), George Orwell (Animal Farm) and The Giver. So i am still looking for books of a similar topic of social ideals, failed or otherwise. If anyone has any such novels that they could reccomend to me i would greatly appreciate it.

Have you checked out Margaret Atwood? Especially the Handmaid's Tale...also a very short one (maybe novella?) by James Clavell called something like The Children's Story...you may find Swan Song by Robert McCammon interesting. If you do YA stuff you might dig The Supernaturalist by Eoin Colfer.

The Running Man
by Stephen King

We by Yevgeny Zamyatin

And my personal favorite, Blindness by Jose Saramago.
