hey guys,

i'm a huge fan of twilight, new moon and vampire kisses but i'm a little iffy on blue bloods, i'm not sure if i'll like it or not- i'm more of a romantic but it seems to be lacking in that area- any feedback out there from my fellow hopeless romantics would be great! should i waste my time? i also read blood and chocolate and it was beyond amazing in my opinion and i'm planning on reading annette curtis klause's other book- the silver kiss but i'm not sure about that one either- im getting mixed responses. well feel free to throw some suggestions for this girl's growing summer list into the abnormal. ;)

There was one vampire romance that I enjoyed a great deal when I was a child. It was part of a series, but I still liked it all the same. The title was The Vampire In Love, but I can't remember the author's name.

Oooh, I love vampire romances too. :D Didja know that Eclipse comes out August 4th! I already have it pre-ordered. I can't wait. *woot*

Umm...well, I know of one, but it's slightly more romance than Twilight and Vampire Kisses. It's called Beyond the Pale: The Darkwing Chronicles. There's three out now, but that's the only one I've read. Though I thought it was pretty good. :D

YOU have it preordered? I have it preordered. Little money stealer  I dunno if I'm gonna let you read it, just cuz of that! :p

edit: Ha, see, I do come on here. I just don't post very often...Kinda boring...

vampire books???

Any suggestion(s) on vampire/romance books??? I really like Anne Rice's novels on vampire. Just finished on reading the twilight series by stephenie meyer (and i really enjoyed it too!!!). So any suggestions???

**I also love to read any story which involve a very strong female character, therefore if anyone found/read any book that centers on a strong female vamp please let me know....Thanks...:D

Dhampir by Barb and JC Hendee. It's the beginning of a sword-and-sorcery fantasy series about a vampire hunter who is part vampire herself.

If you want books set in our universe, check out Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series or Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. And while this book doesn't feature any strong female characters, I highly recommend Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite. One of the best in the genre!

I think there is another thread about this , but I second Isabells recomendationThe Historian. The 5 chapters I have read are very engaging with the story.

you might want to try Dan Simmons-childrens of the night

An humourus on Christopher Moore-You suck-a love story

also Vampirate-Justin Somper-Demons of the ocean

there a very good short story by Bret easton Ellis in "the imformers"

I really enjoyed "Beyond the Pale (The Darkwing Chronicles: Book 1)" By Savannah Russe. (Warning--there's a little bit of sexual content--)

There's four or five books to the series so far, but I've only read the first one.

Hi!

I love vampires so I have tried everything there is out there, some of it is pretty bad so when I find something I like I am very happy.

I liked the Anita Blake series in the beginning, though after the 5th or 6th book it just became soft (or not so soft) porn. Still, worth a try.

I thought "The Historian" was a bit week... didn't really do it for me.

A series that I found to be fun is the Jaz Parks books by Jennifer Rardin. The first one is "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". Jaz (the main character) is not a vamp herself but she is up to her neck with them. She is strong, if a bit confused, but funny also. Nothing deep or spectacular but good pass time fun.

Brian Lumley's Necroscope series is a pretty good vamp series but it isn't a romancy one. His vamps are just plain nasty evil but they are really interesting. Been a while since I read the series but there are a few strong female vamps later on.
