Want to play? version of Autumn

I'll send you some holly Billy O. It's not like we don't have enough of the stuff.

That would be really nice as long as it has red berries and isn't some kind of a mutant hybrid donkey/monkey/knitwear/plantlife creature. And no penguins!

:confused: Have you got something against donkey monkey hybrids??

Even though my house is home only to Daisy Rabbit/Donkey hybrids I have nothing against the, more common Monkey/Donkey, hybrids. I just don't want them infecting my Christmas decorations.

This is Waterlow Park in London in her Autumnal glory. Hope you like it.

wow, that is beautiful! (much better than mine: "Stood at the bus stop at an afternoon, you turned your head for the blue peace, yet, your eyes hurted by leafless branches, not even a yellow one there. you erected the collar of your red jacket, but which could not prevent the cold breath of the Northern Pole; winter was filtrating into autumn's warm orange pumpkins; yes, Autumn came.")

:D Thank you!

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I've just been for a walk outside and was scuffing through the autumn leaves. They make a wonderful sound, "like rats feet on broken glass". Kicking dried leaves is one of the pleasures of life at this time of year.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Wish I could stroll through my lovely Waterlow at sunset in the fall. I think it would be very special.

:D "like rats feet on broken glass". --- Can hear that! (but the rats would not get their feet hurt, right. :p )

By the way, touch the tree trunks for me, softly, and take a very deep breathe of your autumn in britain, and pick up a dry leaf, crumble it SLOWLY for me. many thanks. :D

Have a very nice sunday!

Have a very nice sunday!

There's a wonderful hollow tree around the corner from the pond where the willow grows out over the water. That's the one I'd touch!

But I'll bet the crumbliest leaves would be found at High Gate Cemetry, right next door.

Crystal, this is a wonderful park in North London, if you ever have the opportunity, it's well worth making a little side trip to visit.
