Thanks MC. I hope that we'll see some great changes to the forum in the near future. Ideally we'll see an upturn in the membership too as it becomes a friendlier place in which to discuss books and more. :)
 
An upturn in the membership! You've got 6,300 already!

Incidentally, on Palimpsest we occasionally go through and weed out any obvious spambot members who have joined (or those who never validated their membership etc). Might be a big task for this size of membership though.
 
I like to get rid of non-posters too. If nothing else, they're using up names that other people might like to use. Name squatting is plum rude.
 
Litany, you're posting more often now than you did the last time you 'visited'. Are you staying this time, or will you disappear again just when I'm getting used to laughing at your posts again?

I have no forseeable plans for a scarper. It looks to me as though any issues I had with the forum have now been fixed and it's a nice place to play again.

Really? Well, it's great to have you back. Although I'm actually uncertain (confused, actually) about our new senior moderator's policies towards spam, I'm sure it'll not spoil our fun (sorry, my fun).

Although I have to say I've quite moved on from thinking any posts pertaining to Hobnobs funny (I've tried it, btw, but they don't have the chocolate ones here).

I've not read the membership agreement, to be honest. I don't think I need to, cause all I want to do here is to learn and have fun. Oh, and spam.

Plus I may not understand it. :)
