What books have you hated?

Henry James, The Wings of the Dove. I love modernist literature, I really do, but this one sounds like a Victorian novel with never-ending descriptions of rooms and tables. Plus, James, in his foreword, says that he has failed in his intention when writing this book. That was rather off-putting to read before attempting the rest of the novel.

I agree with Catcher in the Rye, I cannot stand that book.

Cujo by Stephen King. I had liked Stephen King before so when the book came out I grabbed it. I also like to read while I'm eating, but after 11 pages of snot and vomit, I threw the book in the trash.

I didn't like The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King. I didn't find it scary or suspenseful in the least.

It's safe to say I've never came across a book i haven't liked. Either i give sympathy to the author and try to understand it or everything amuses me.

I'll remember to stay clear of everything mentioned here though.

Actually, the semi-self-help book 48 Laws of Power was bad. That book will turn any man into a robot.

I think it has something to do with the genre personally. Then again, I liked The Rules of Work by a different author.
