What I read

I was busy with other things last month so I didn't get to read as much as usual. I will be better this month, I promise!

Winkie by Clifford Chase :star4:
The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman :star4:
Watermind by M. M. Buckner :star3:

You know the 7th book is out and the author is touring?:whistling: Just mentioning it. Met her 2 years ago.

I didn't, but thanks for the info! I looked at her website and no details yet on where she's going, but I'm pretty sure it will be no where near me! lol.

I know the feeling, she's the only one I have met.I guess it's too cold for them up this way.

Hunger -Knut Hamsun :star4:not a beach book,at all.
Inspector Ali-Driss Chraibi:star3:
The label on many a Bacardi bottles for Mojitos and cuba libre purpose :star5: each time.

It was a great month for me reading wise. I can tell you that I will be nowhere near the amount of books I read in August for September.

August
Kingdoms in Conflict; Charles Colson :star1:
The Moral Teaching of Paul; Victor Paul Furnish :star3:
Madame Bovary; Gustave Flaubert :star3:
Sons and Lovers; D.H. Lawrence :star4:
Faust; Goethe
The Stranger; Albert Camus :star4:

August was a so-so month for me.

The Memory Keeper’s Daughter - Kim Edwards
The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera

September already looks better

Paths of glory - Jeffrey Archer
Amsterdam - Ian McEwan
The Angel’s Game - Carlos Ruiz Zafon

i was just getting back into reading in August. I started to read Angels & Demons, but stopped about halfway through (conclave part). I think the main thing that drove me away from the book was Brown's frequent low-blows to the church and religion. i'm not religious but am spiritual and have no grudges against the church. this was probably just a bad book choice for me, given the plot. a frient lent it to me, so it was a free read.

Tribe - Bruce Parry
Girl Missing - Tess Gerritsen
How Clean is Your House? (ahem, yes, really).
The Man With the Dancing Eyes - Sophie Dahl

Bit of a slow month for me...
