what is a good book to read for a mom?

a book that has suspense in it, but not a crime/drama. maybe adventure and suspense? if anyone has any good reccomendations, plz tell me.

Take a look in the crime, thriller, and mystery forum and see if anything there catches your eye. Ditto for the fiction forum.

Closest one I can think of is: Five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom. There is no adventure. Other than that, I thought it was very suspenseful. No crimes involved, great for moms to read. And, most poignant.

For the adventure side, I read a story by a guy who lost 90 lbs and starting running 100 mile races...I guess it is more of a motivational story though...
