Mine personally was Mirror by Graham Masterton, not scary as such, but at one point in the book, I knew what was going to happen next and couldn't bring myself to read how Graham Masterton had actually described it!
It took 3 days to pluck up the courage, and needless to say, it wasn't half as bad as I'd imagined it!
