I learned that there are other people out there absolutely unlike me. And this too is a good thing.
I learned that no matter how similar or dissimilar we are, each one of us has a valid point of view.
I learned that it is good to read outside my "comfort zone", to try new genres and authors. I just might find I really like them.
I learned that friendship can come in many disguises.
Cajun mama, I liked all the things you wrote down, especially the last, i.e I learned that friendship can come in many disguises. That is the surprising thing, just like the spice or salt of life.

What I have learned from the TBF:
* There are wonderful movies that i might have never known, example, Mulholland Drive. David Lynch is just like a modern (or postmodern ?) writer who can write by adjusting the lens of camera.
* Friendship is real in this internet world which is notorious for its being unreal. I have been grateful to have got to know some really nice and good people.
* when you reach out, you would either enjoy the taste of red wine in the frendship, or have to be calm to accept the polite rejection.
* there are always people who have read much more than you have. And sharing is a pleasure.
* Learn from making mistakes.
My best wishes to you all guys and girls, a new year is coming
