What should you be doing?

I have two cubic yards of loam to spread, eight pounds of diatomaceous earth to spread through it, 52 linear feet of bricks to edge it with and $100 worth of plants and seeds to plant in it. I've done less than half a yard. :(

I also need to pack for three people and a dog because we're headed to Boston for the night.

OH NO. I hope they didn't get it in their eyes. Do tell. It can fit into the thread since you "should" be posting on topic, but will instead be telling me a story. See how I can rationalize anything? ;)

ABC, your avatar is intriguingly obscure, is that an owl in a fez? I love it!

:D I think they're chickens...Biker Chicks! I did a search for funny bird images and thought the BCs were hysterical :D

I guess I should be eating these chili cheese fries at the table as I am now wearing more of my lunch than I usually like.

It happened about three years ago, in October or November, when the weather was really grey and nasty. Our kitchen light was burned out and it the whole fixture needed to be replaced, so we'd put it off..

Southpaw and Emily both decided to bake; Emily was making pies and Southpaw doubled the recipe for pumpkin bread, meaning she made 8 loaves. They got the flour bucket and were working their hearts out.. I was downstairs for a long time, and when I went through the kitchen, SP asked me to look at her batter, asking me why the texture was so wierd. She'd already had 4 loaves in the oven, and she'd added lots more flour to increase the volume, but it still looked wrong. At the same time, Emily asked me why her pie crusts were so stiff...I asked her why they were so Grey! That's when I looked at the bucket..they'd grabbed the one with diatomaceous earth that I 'd bought to add into the grain and beans I'd stocked up on:D When those four loaves came out, they were the nicest smelling orange bricks I'd ever seen. Pharaoh would have loved them! As i was laughing myself silly, SP had this horrible exression on her face. She told me she'd been sampling the batter as she tried to make it right:p

LOL! That's a great story abc!! I hope SP didn't have too much indigestion later.

What should I be doing? Absolutely nothing. I'm unemployed now and enjoying it shamelessly so far. I'll get tired of it soon enough I suppose, but right now I love being able to do the things I love all the time, like reading and playing with the computer. Does that make me a bad person? ;) :D

I hear you! I just finished my last exam today and have a whole week before school starts up again. :D Who knows, I might actually get some reading done now.

Ugh! I should be vacuuming the bottom of my pool, cleaning around the house, watering flowers, and dumping out my closet to give all the junk I don't need to charity. Instead, I'd rather be on the computer talking about what I should be doing. What a wonderful life!

Nope, not bad...just normal. Everyone wants to do nothing once in a while. I make a habit of it. ^^
