what's everyone up to today?

i am trying to recover from the weekend. the house looks like....i have no appropriate metaphor. i am procrastinating by obsessively checking what you all are up to today online. it is one thirty and i am still in my jammies. monday's are a challenge in my house.

Got up really early, got a bus, swept floors, syringe fed a cute kitten, who returned the favour by spitting it back up and hissing at me, got bus home, dodged protesters, went to sainsburys, had dinner, went on internet. Woohoo, what excitment. This shall be repeated for the next 4 weeks!

that is exciting. at no point in my day do i ever have to dodge protesters. i get spit up on all the time though.

I got home from a week in Florida, and just in time too. After chasing my son thru Disney, Wet'N'Wild and Universal for 7 days I could hardly walk anymore. Now I need a vacation to recover from my vacation :)

It was lots of fun though and watching my son have the time of his life was worth all the pain. I also got to see my Uncle after 16 years of just having a phone call or letter every now and again. And I liked the pics we took even the ones of me and I never like pics of myself.

i went on a 2 hour bike ride, then went to the beach, came home, went for a power walk, now i am having cocktails and watching one of my fave movies, amelie. i hate my job! :D

I wish I had the luxury of going on a two hour bike ride. I'd be happy going for a 9 mile hike but Matthew has gotten too big for me to push over bumpy, rocky, uneven trails.

before, i never had this luxury, only in the last few weeks have i been able to do such things....

hmm today. what does today hold for me? laundry, boring. and groceries, boring. but it is a gorgeous sunny day and friends have a pool, so later we are headed over there to lounge and swim. i need to pick sam up a floaty ring with a seat in it. as i write this he has figured out how to climb the kitchen chairs and is on the kitchen table. life as i know it has just changed.

today is a nice, quiet calm day around the inn. no hysterical housekeeper running thru the halls. everyone out and about for the day. just baking and waiting for guests to check in. oh and laundry....loads upon loads of laundry....

Story of my life! Have you seen my bathroom lately? I have Mount Washmore in there  , courtesy of my girls "cleaning" their room.

I'm glad I'm not the only one surrounded by a mountain of laundry. It amazes me that we have all these clothes and yet nothing to wear

it's so true....!! i go thru my closest at least twice a month and force myself to part with stuff i know i don't wear or will never wear again....oh, my dryer just went off, gotta go!

yup count me in ladies. i think the laundry pile grows when i am out. on a slighty different note. i would just like to remain clean for 5 minutes!!!!! today i am going to a workshop on how to work with the media and get them interested in your organization.
so i am showered, moisturized, cute hair, fresh attractive makeup, (gloss not stick), cute skirt, pedicure, white fitted t, and black cotton cardigan. i am the brunette meg ryan, circa "you've got mail"
HOWEVER, within 5 minutes of putting the finishing touch of watch and silver bracelet, i notice a suspicious little sticky something or other. regardless of my caution, and feeding the kids while i was still in a bathrobe, sam has managed to get something sticky smack dap in the middle of my pristine white t, riding high with the girls for all to see. *sigh* balls.

I am sorting my book collection(a colossal task-I never realised I had THAT many:D), playing videogames and reading(of course...)

Before I could convince myself not to go, I grabbed my son and ran out the door. We spent the day at the zoo.

Oohhh, I love the zoo, my hubby and I had our first date there. What is your fave animal, I like the penguins (sorry Wabbit).
