what's everyone up to today?

well, today is my birthday, sooooo i am going to milk it for all it is worth. so far so good, coffee in bed, money for new clothes so i am off to do some shopping and if i can really work it maybe an afternoon nap. then we are going to dinner at one of my favourite restaurants and to a movie. yayayayay grown up acitivities.
but the fun really starts this weekend as it is also mother's day and so i am going into halifax to pick out my new bed set.
anyone noticing a theme of my love of sleep.
it's nice to be a may baby.

Today I am spoiling my cat Beezle, he was missing for over 2 weeks and I had thought he was gone for good but he came home yesturday afternoon. A bit thin but not too bad off, I am so glad to have him home. Lucy my other cat doesn't seem as happy with his return, though.

Cats know how to live life! :D

I am gonna go roleplay game. Tonight we are dong "Vampire - the Requiem" I like something to get my teeth into! Nice change from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.

So glad for you, Ronny! What a horrible expereince - glad it ended well... you don't think the other cat tried to do Beezle in, do you ;)

I thought about that but my husband insisted that Lucy, his cat, is too lazy for that. Beexle has always been a bit wild so I think he went exploring and maybe got trapped somewhere like a shed or garage. He's back to his carefree self today and Lucy is mellowing a bit now. Too much effort to keep hissing and all.

A squirrel actually PEED in my face today. That's my typical luck... :(

What was your face doing so close to the business end of a squirrel?!

I'm at work today......then going to the gym after work......then casting my vote. Then i hope to finish off my current read (Night Fall by Nelson DeMille) and start something else :)

I have free all day today, so I think I'm going to use it the best possible way, sleeping.

Actually, I was dozing in my hammock, and it was 15-18 feet over me, and I felt a small splash on my forehead!
Ingrates! I let them live in my trees, and this is the thanks I get!

"A squirrel actually PEED in my face today."

Is there any person here who can honestly say they've heard something like this before? Ever?

Dude, that's funny.

well thursday, hmm. nice day here again so i am going to move those freakin' tulips if it kills me. i will try to avoid being peed on by any wildlife passing through my yard.
and then i will do housewifey things and then take the kids to the park for a run.

and of course, survivor is on tonight.

I've worked out, and gotten showered. Done a bit of cleaning and now ready to head to work, after which I plan to get my mother-in-law a mother's day gift and then come back and chill out with a book.

Spent much of the day cleaning the kitchen. We have an invasion of ants and I'm trying to cut off their food-supply. don'i mind doing that kind of job so long as i can listen to my beloved Radio 4 at the same time!

ugh ants. we have them too in our bathroom. i think they have a colony in the wall.
i am painting my bedroom. the carpet has arrived and so i thought i should get the painting done before we install it.
also nursing just the tiniest hangover from last night, but nothing a rum and coke couldn't fix, lol. really i have been pounding back the h2o all day.
off to the paint can......

Today its a sunny day here in Surrey/UK, so I'm going to take my dog for a walk, visit my dads grave to say hi to him and talk to him for a bit, I havn't done this for a while because I havn't really found the courage to do so. I'm also going to go to the local shops while walking the dog too.

rg, good luck is not the right phrase, but it's early here still so while the words sound bad, the intention is good. have courage. he'll be glad you came.

going to move those freaking tulips today. they are almost in bloom but they are in the middle of the yard!!!!! which is most inconvienant for kids and dogs.
also my throats a bit sore. i'm hoping i haven't picked something up from the kids, the little grubbers.
