What's your favourite period?

The Victorian period is my favourite at the moment, and what is more appropriote to sum up this whole period than Elliot's Middlemarch, which is absolutely brilliant.
 
Yay! Just the topic I love. Historical fiction...where to begin, where to begin. I love any period but in US History my favorite period is Colonial Period also known as Early America. When it comes to world history I like Ancient Egypt or Ancient Rome. You give me any Historical fiction book though and I'll read it. :)
