When a song really sums up your mood...

So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last

Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on
From now on ...

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again

Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!

I've got that album on my MP3 player with me now.

My favourite track is Up Goes The Castle. It's very mellow.

When I am blue: Desperado by The Eagles.

Desperado, why dont you come to your senses?
You been out ridin fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasing you
Can hurt you somehow

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if shes able
You know the queen of heats is always your best bet

Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you cant get

Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin no youger
Your pain and your hunger, they're driving you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, thats just some people talking
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun wont shine
Its hard to tell the night time from the day
You're loosin all your highs and lows
Aint it funny how the feeling goes away?

Desperado, why dont you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin, but theres a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you, before its too late

There's always

Sounds better with two people singing it tho'.

Miles Davis makes the right mood with his trumpet. Purchase Kind of Blue and you'll hear what I mean.

Desparado is one of my favorite sad songs. Rubber Ducky always reminds me of my cousins Tia and Mark and the time they sang it in a small ampitheater in a park in Norman Oklahoma when we were younger..LOTS younger..

When I'm feeling silly, I tend to think of the many silly songs from the gazillion Veggie Tales episodes I've been forced to endure over the last few years and classics like I Love My Lips and Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, and The Hairbrush Song run through my mind...reminding me its time for my meds;)

I'm not a huge Country fan but this song always makes me smile.:)

I Love....... by Tom T Hall

I Love little baby ducks
Old pickup trucks
Slow movin' trains and rain
I Love little country streams
Sleep without dreams
Sunday school in May and hay
And I love you too.

I Love - leaves in the wind
Pictures of my friends
Birds of the world - and squirrels
I Love - coffee in a cup
Little fuzzy pups
Bourbon in a glass - and grass
And I love you too.

I Love honest open smiles
Kisses from a child
Tomatoes on the vine and onions
I Love winner's when they cry
Loser's when they try
Music when it's good and life
And I love you too
