----------- kid's edition US ------------------------- kid's edition UK ------------------------- adult's edition -----------

I bought the kids edition Canada. Just like the UK's except it doesn't say Bloomsbury on the bottom and was printed on 100% recycled paper.

The only edition available here in NZ is the UK kids one. It's a bit of a shame because I really like the adults version cover :(

I'm halfway through the book, and went by the Chapter named 'The Half-Blood Prince'.And,after reading that chapter,I would say that the Bloomsbury Adult cover is by far the best.Because its simple, and very much connected to the book title. And its attractive too.

the children's edition covers are just plain ugly, the adult edition was a little better, but if you don't know what the book is about is seem pretty boring. I have the uk children's edition... It's the only one they sell here. I don't know if the book will have a different cover when it comes out in norwegian, but it doesn't matter as I will not read it anyhow. Half-through it, by the way. And I'm liking the prince so far, hope he's not "evil".

I have all three as three people in my house read hp and it made sense to buy both english copies for them adult for my mum kids for my brother and splashed out and bought myself the american cover

Since I now live in USA, but lived in Europe beginning of my life, I purchased the first 3 HP's in the UK edition, they're okay, but I do think that the US Edition is by far the best, because they're large, you can take the cover off, and I think that Mary Grandpre's work on the US edtions of the HP books are amazing. It really introduces a new touch of artistic expression and I think it fits the chapter titles and the overall mood of the HP's. In fact, since I have 1-3 in UK, and 5-6 in US (read the fourth one via a friend's copy, he loaned me, don't have my own) I am thinking about maybe purchasing 1-4 in the US editions, so I can have the whole set in US edition with Grandpre's illustrations and will do the same with Harry Potter VII.

P.S.
Any rumors yet on the seventh and last HP title..Harry Potter and the....????

"Which book cover did you bought"

bought????

I didn't bought any....I didn't buyed any either...I'm happy to say I've never readed anything HP....

I just couldn't keep reading this thread title without implanting some jerkishness to it...sorry...carry on....

No, well said Motokid - that's been catching on my eye and driving me nuts every time the thread comes up in New Posts. So much for HP doing wonders for literacy eh!

Perhaps a link of this thread into the "Books and Intelligence" thread would be funny...

....but I should never really make an issue of spelling..mine is horrible...but I do try to get it right in the title at least...try I say....try....

I admit my mistake, now that I've seen its been corrected.
But I think,as long as anybody understands what I'm trying to ask.I dont see any problem.

No harm done....it was just like a dripping faucet in the middle of the night everytime that thread surfaced with a new post...to me anyway...and I guess Shade too....

Have a great Friday....

I bought the US kid's edition. I ordered it online and that was what they sent. I like it the best out of the three though.

My daughter has the child's cover & I've got the adult one, we both prefer our own covers so everyone's happy.

One thing I do think is worth mentioning, is how tricky it seems to be to find the adult cover. I live in Leeds, so it's hardly as though I don't have much choice shopswise, but the first 4 shops I went into only had the child's cover & the one I finally purchased mine from only had 3 with the adult cover & literally thousands with the kids one ... weird!
