First listen impressions are that Wilco continues into the experimental realm, certainly more so than Sky Blue Sky but not as much as A Ghost is Born, and it seems to be a solid album. And Nels Cline still has his haunting licks.
It will be interesting to compare this to Son Volt's forthcoming American Central Dust (due out July 7) and see how far in opposite directions Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar have taken their music.
