Anyone up for another game? How about word association. A word is posted and the next person puts down the word which immediately comes to mind in association with the previous word. Let's see if it takes off.
Off topic, Meadow, are you asking why treats on Halloween? It's customary in Canada and the US to hand out candy to the 'trick or treaters' on Halloween, to keep the tricksters away from your home and keep your home safe - tied in with religion and All Hallows Eve, lots of information on the Internet for the background superstition, this is in case you didn't know - do you have anything similar in SA? It's just a fun thing now because the significance has been lost over time.
Halloween, (or All Hallows Eve - the Eve of the Western Christian Feast of All Hallows ) the last day of October, had its beginning way back when but it's now just a fun thing where the little kids go around the houses in their neighbourhood saying 'trick or treat' - the idea being that if no treat is forthcoming then there is the threat of some mischief to the home owner, which doesn't happen nowadays. Please go to Wikepedia on the web and it will give you a better idea of what Halloween is all about. It's not about horror at all, not for the little ones anyway. Some folks do a lot of decorating of their yards with gravestones and ghostly noises but it's all in the spirit of fun.
