Sometime there can be problems with internet connections around the world so pages get corrupted as they get sent. You could try clearing your browser's cookies and cache to see if that helps. The site should work with all modern browsers (IE, Firefox etc).

Yes, I'm planning to expand the main site further over the coming months. I've had a lot of personal commitments these past few months so it's been harder to devote time to developing the site further than what it currently is at the moment. It will continue to evolve though.

So you'd rather that we post an announcement or public reply every time something needs moderating or someone needs reminding about the rules? Is that how you handle people in real life? At work? Publically warn them infront of everyone rather than taking them aside and having a quiet word?

OK, I've edited the forums so that Writers' Showcase is now the only forum where threads can be rated. Also, I've edited the forum code so that people can't rate threads that they started.

Good ideas Stewart. I'm surprised vBulletin doesn't have that feature as standard to prevent this kind of abuse. I'll see if someone has written a mod to prevent users rating their own threads. At the moment, only threads in the Writers' Showcase should be able to be rated (I think). If not...
