It's so long ago since I was young that I don't remember one specific book but I remember at my grandmother's house there was a big pile of of magazines - I think they were encyclopedia type mags put out by Pears (talking about Scotland) and I was always looking at those - don't know what the...
Unfortunately A Wanted Man is not one of his best books. However, his others are all pretty good unless you are a stickler for detail with guns etc. I don't know much about guns so any errors with ballistics etc. wouldn't be noticed by me. I just enjoy the plot. I think he writes...
Saw the finale of season 3 last night. Ending maybe not the way I would have liked it but the episode itself with the settings, the characters, the acting - it was great. It is a long wait for the next series but probably worth waiting for.
We had a snowfall on Saturday but nothing too heavy in our area. The snow is still sitting around in gardens etc. but the roads are all clear. Still cold though, -10C (-14F) last night with wind chill which brought it down to -17C.
Princess F: Took a while for the penny to drop for me with your Avatar, Princess Fiona being Shrek's love interest. Duh! Watched Shrek many times with my grandson, really quite liked it. Also liked Nemo and Toy Story. Some of these are more interesting and clever than what's on telly these...
So glad that there is going to be a 4th season. The finale for season 3 here in Canada is this coming Sunday although I do know that there has been some disappointment with the ending.
Saw from the paper that the Eastern States was hit badly by the storm. Hope you didn't lose power, heard that some homes had lost power. Here today is brilliant sunshine but still cool and then RAIN tomorrow. Weird weather.
Looks like our yard, snowplow didn't come around until about 11:00 a.m. this morning and although we had the driveway cleared it was iffy about taking the car out in case of getting stuck on the street. Where you at regdog?
Have visited your website and posted about finishing the book. Great reading. Yes, I like Ken Follett. One of the books I particularly liked and I'm not sure I have the title correct was "The Flight of the Hornet". Hope you get to meet up with him at the Awards Banquet.
Am part way through Silent Counsel - really enjoying the suspense - didn't get it on the freebie day -bought it yesterday - really very reasonable. Have you written any other legal thrillers?
Snow finally stopped, quite a storm, about a foot of snow out on the street, all the driveways are plowed or shovelled out, now when the city plow comes around to do the street everyone will have to go and dig out the end of their driveway if they want to get their car out. Looks pretty though.
