I read a couple books in the series and enjoyed them. I really need to pick up the next one... I'm itching to know what happens next! I don't think I can compare them to Bones since they're so different. I like to think of them as the books that Bones writes on the show.

I disagree with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Was it as good as the book? Of course not. But I thought it was clever, funny and really captured the spirit of the book.

In the last book Hermione puts a memory charms on her parents so they'll forget her, but later that book she tells Harry that she's never done a memory charm before. Maybe snakes refuse to wink for muggles?

No I wouldn't. I'm not saying both aren't great stories, but I don't know if kids will appreciate them, especially around Christmas!

Well Stephen King comes to mind right away, although he isn't really my cup of tea. I would really recommend you try some gothic literature... although they are usually more suspenseful than violent. Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca and Jamaica Inn are both great books.

As a woman, I agree that fall fashions are much more fun! And I could see how men might think so too... I guess it leaves more to the imagination when women all around you aren't dressing like tramps.
