I love the narrator's character voice. It's a quick, easy mystery read about an FBI agent who needs to figure out how two guys fell off a building.
Hey, welcome. I read more than one book at a time too. It's fine. I have no problem keeping them straight. Often they're in different genres, like a star wars book (sci fi), a thriller, and a christian mystery.
Rambling is fine.
30K is a novella, but that's cool. My "newest" story is about 39K. In general, science fiction and fantasy novels tend to be a little longer. I have 3 that are unpublished as yet and they're about 100K.
