Hi, I'm Jonathan Bentz. I'm an ebook author trying to promote my first ebook after a bout of depression caused me to forget some of my marketing requirements. The book and link to it is listed below, and the price is currently being shifted from its listed one of $2.99 to $0.99. I am working steadily on the final draft of book two in the series (a crime-thriller series of novellas).
One thing I've noted is that a lot of good books become bogged down with jargon and technical terms that even readers with a thirst to learn can find bothersome. One of the practices I've done is to streamline the content of my books so that if there is something explained, its in terms any reader can understand. I honestly don't know of any actual medical examiner/professional or cop who actually uses the amount of jargon one sees in todays "best-sellers". I like the Alex Cross series, but I find some of the books are Jargon-heavy, which I find detracting from the story, not enhancing it.
I am making it a point to at least make an announcement regarding my ebooks and such in appropriate forums, though I also enjoy discussing books in general which is why I'll likely go through some threads here when I have a chance...
