Mine is from Lonesome Dove. A scene in which Gus sees Clara again for the first time in sixteen years. She steps out of the house onto the porch, and Gus says, "Well, pretty as ever."
I've always wanted someone to say that to me.
From Lonesome Dove, when Gus sees Clara again for the first time in 16 years. The music is swelling to a crescendo and as Clara steps out onto the porch, Gus says, "Well, pretty as ever," and then sweeps her up into a passionate embrace. Great scene.
I loved this movie! But, I have kind of a thing for Jim Carrey, and I'll sit through any movie he's in, no matter how terrible. Though, I really thought this movie was good. Strangely filmed in some parts, but on the whole pretty good. Very different story line that will keep you intrigued...
The next movie I will see in the theaters will most likely be Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. But, as for renting/buying...most likely Twilight, when I buy it on Saturday.
Titanic...every time this movie comes on a movie channel or TNT, I have to watch it. I love the story, and I've always had a weird fascination with Titanic itself, and now have four books on the subject in my shelf.
And, the Harry Potter movies. I'm a nerd, and do love my Harry.
Thank you...I've already accomplished it. And when I presented my completed cheap car chart...he said, "Oh, don't worry about it. I don't want to give 72 hours notice to cancel." Gee, thanks.
I'm irritated by my boss today. On top of all my other things to get done today within the wonderful world of chemical sales...I had to research the cheapest rental car in Fort Lauderdale (sp?) for a "back up plan" in case my boss's other rental car falls through somehow. Seriously? Goodness...
I read it on my own free will (non school reading), and I thought it was okay...not great by any means, in my own opinion. I won't read it again...but it will stay on my shelf.
Looks like this is another one that I should add to my list. I've seen the movie, and absolutely loved it. Leonardo DiCaprio gave the greatest performance ever...I was in love. :)
I think I finished this one about two years ago...and thought it was good...but not great. I am, however, looking forward to reading the other books by Gregory Maguire...as I sort of like his style, and don't want to give up on him after only one book. I think Son of a Witch is next, and then...
I've read The Notebook many many times...and love it more each time. I can't bring myself to watch the movie though...because I think I will cry that much harder the next time I read it.
Ug...it took me forever to finish this book. Seriously...months. Perhaps I'll attempt to read it again sometime...or I'll give Interview with the Vampire another go in the near future...maybe.
I don't lie about books I've read or haven't read. People know that I'm strange in my reading tastes, so why say I've read some classic, when I really haven't? I'm 25 and just now finished Sense and Sensibility, and even that took me a good four weeks to finish. *lol*
