So much depends on the book. I am reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell right now, and it's a read that goes slowly, just because it needs to be savored. I'm going to miss it when I'm done.

I've also noticed that translations become dated in a way that the original never does. What's available for Homer is a good example: Alexander Pope did a translation, which is an interesting study of Pope and his time and language but not the best way to read Homer. The Victorian...
Luckily, there's only one thing you can do with my hair: trim it. It's too curly to layer or shape or whatever they call all that stuff that they do to make it require half an hour of prep every day.
