Hey
I LOVEEE coffee. The novella I'm currently writing is called 'eight cups of coffee' and has the recurring theme of coffee.
LOVE it.
This morning before school i had 4 tea spoons of coffee in one cup. I desperatly needed it.
I have coffee everymorning before school.

I don't think I would even consider "tea spoons of coffee in a cup" actually coffee. Are those crystals you are simply stirring in hot water? ...... (that was the closest smilie I could make to look like he's puking)wilderness said:This morning before school i had 4 tea spoons of coffee in one cup. I desperatly needed it. I think it would be a contender. Maybe these disolving coffee-flavored crystals turn out to be something other than disolving coffee-flavored crystals...Motokid said:Maybe that should win your horror writting competition...

I took today off (50 hours already this week, and I'd had enough!).
I went to Manassas and found that Bad Ass Coffee house.
Pretty good.
Coffee was good. I had the 100% Kona, black (that seemed to be their "signature" coffee). It was strong, and somewhat Starbuck-ish (though not as strong as Starbucks, which is good). I thought the taste was very good. (please keep in mind this is the same guy that heats up day-old cofffe out of the coffee maker!)
It was certainly more flavorful than your standard fare. They seem to be aiming at the "Friends" crowd. They had a couple of chess boards sitting around, and over-stuffed chairs and ottomen (ottomans?). A little cliche, maybe, but not bad. I bought a coffee mug from them because I like their logo (donkey and palm trees).
I think, depending on the location, this could do well. The one in Manassas is not too far from a "Java Rock" (another trendy coffee place) and a Starbucks, but they seem to have a pretty good base of regular customers.
I was there at around 7:00 this morning, and between the time I ordered my coffee, got it, and went out side to smoke while I drank it (that's a whole different thread!), at least three people came in whom the help knew by name (within less than 30 minutes).
Pretty cool place. We should meet there sometime.
Ronny said:When you mentioned the mug, I had to ask, does anyone else like those huge round mugs? The ones that look like a soup bowl with a handle, mine are as big as my head but I love them.
Motokid said:leckert buddy, you rock serious dude....I'm sure it's a teensy-bit trendy...but I love the image...Did they sell some kind of crappy food-stuff too, or was it pretty hard-core into just the coffee? I don't want to get into makin' food and stuff.
