Thank you very much everyone, I had a great day today. I went out and did a little shopping and saw a movie (it was crap, and the theatre was full of giggling, loud and rude children though :mad: ).

It was fantastic weather today, thank goodness. Full of sunshine, although a nippy wind did kick up in the afternoon. Very good weather for May, though :D

Thank you! We are 12 hours ahead of most people here in NZ actually, so it was just about right. It's 10:42 pm at the moment for me.

Lol, so far no books, but I did get a lovely bracelet and a diamond necklace from my boyfriend (it's the necklace that Arwen wears on LOTR :cool: ). There's still my Nana to go though, so there's still hope :D

18. 18 is the legal age for smoking, drinking, buying lottery/scratchy tickets (I won $13 on my first ever scratchy yesterday :D ), buying porn and voting. 16 is the age for consenual sex, and 21 is the age when I can go to the casino.

Happy Birthday, MC!! I just realised that I never posted a birthday wish :) Hope you have a wonderful week doing all those things you're now allowed to do!!

Why is it 21 for the casino, though?? And can you now drive by yourself? 18 is the age here where you can get your P's (which lets you drive without an accompanying licensed driver for the first time). Drinking and driving permittance given on the same day. It's rather like drive-through liquor stores... it's almost a good idea!
