Vladimir Nabokov: The Enchanter

You never stop challenging us, Professor, and I (for one) thank you for it. :) This one is going onto my (already staggering) TBR pile.
Ha, Still!
If it is The Gift you are referring to, it has moved before your very eyes over to a more appropriate home at Everything Nabokov.
But if you do get around to it, your reactions would be interesting to hear regarding Fyodor's approach to trying to become a writer (over there of course :) )
Peder

Peder! You fly from book to book like one of Nabokov's butterflies while I just seem to plod along behind you. Lag, stagger and plod.

Oh Please SIL,
No staggering or plodding.
Slow and stately, with regal mien, is the way I have always imagined it.
:) :) :)
Peder

And a crown.

Ps

And what a beautiful absolutely unbelievable picture.
Enough to leave even Nabokov stuck for words!

Some of these little guys have wings that look like stained glass. (VN was never, ever, ever stuck for words -- not on paper, anyway.)
