what's everyone up to today?

Buy doritos with a really spicy dip. If he doesn't like to eat them, he can use them as weapons.

Me? Same as you. Buying groceries after work, cooking, playing with the dog, reading to my daughter (I tried the other way around too; the dog pays a lot of attention, but it's not very responsive, and she is as tall as me now, so I better stop playing soon).

I'm rushing around the forum trying to catch up, saying hi to new members, laughing at sirmyk, reminding myself I must read Lolita..I'm in a horrible rush I as I have a guest staying and I cant get on the computer very much. Looks like I've been missing some lively debate too, dammit all. Its hotter than hell here, and I cant get into K. Oe at all...hope everyone is ok, esp folks in London.

It must be international grocery shopping day. I'm just back recently myself. They were giving away free bouquets of flowers - a customer appreciation thing. I got a nice bouquet of mixed yellow flowers, including three roses, some daisies, and I haven't a clue what everything else is.

Any way, I forgot to buy bread so I have decided to spend the afternoon baking bread.

I did my major shopping already but a friend told me they opened an international grocery that is very good. I think I will go over and have a peek. Other than that I have to find a B'day present for an 18 yr boy  I just giving money but I may resort to that, this kid isn't ready for what I gave my brothers when they were 18 I don't think.

i finish hbp today so i am back from hogwarts, and into the land of the non-harry people.

Some of us are more hairy than others!

Howdy! I've been occupied for a while.

What kind of ball?

Okay, you said hi to me, so now I need a cold shower! (especially since your warts have cleared up!)

:D

yes it was a nasty bit of hogwarts, a little topical cream and bob's your uncle.

baseball, i play second, all modesty aside i bite. grounders are the bane of my existence. i'm too afraid the ball will roll up my mitt and nail me in the face so i just launch my body on top of it. stops the ball but then i'm scrambling to find it and get it to first. last week i actually took the first baseman out running. he got in my way......

*sigh* I didnt like coming back into the land of Muggles....

me either. i didn't read it nearly as fast as others, but still 4 days and it's done and now we have to wait another 2 years?!
i have to read it again though, i was rushing and likely missed a lot. the thread helps though, definitely gave me some stuff to thin about ie: snape.

Who the hell is bob? (we need SirMyk to get a real good "who the hell..." thread going!)

I guess the firstbasemen will learn to stay out of your friggin' way! I played catcher as a younger man. Baseball is definitely the ultimate sport. love it!

i was confusing my sports. i was playing rugby when i should've been play baseball.

you've never heard the expression bob's your uncle?

I've heard "since hector was a pup", and "Johnny on the spot" and even a "hank of rope", but NEVER, not even once, has anyone told me about the mysterious uncle bob!

daggone Nova Scotia-ites! :D

i don't think it's a bluenose expression( what nova scotian are called), best kind is more of an east coast expression.
as in, we were at the bar, having a few drinks, best kind, and then all of a sudden....

Okay, I'm thinking you might have taken a ball to the gorde today, or something... what the mu-heck are you talking about? (best kind... what happened to uncle bob?)

please try to keep abreast of new developments, i am trying to tutor you in the finer points of being from nova scotia. it's very complicated and i will be moving quite quickly.

I gave my brothers on their 18th B'day a Welcome to the World of Porn Basket. With a nice selection of mags, videos, condoms of all tastes and colors and toys from the local porn shop. Just so they would know what was now available to them. But my hubbys family is a lot more reserved and well behaved than mine :D
