Was that part of career training week?

I think it was part of our science class? Although, for some of the people in my 6th grade class, it was more of an orientation!

I think it was so that the school could get in a field trip, without spending any real money!

(we also went to Washington, DC that summer, though, but we had to pay for that!)

It really is a pretty cool (i.e. "creepy") place. Here's a picture of it (I am using it in my next novel!) They have a graveyard of "numbered" graves, and a "death spot" on a floor upstairs, and ghosts, and everything! Way cool!

That building is kind of creepy and cool, I love old buildings like that.

So do I.

I used to have nightmares about this place as a kid.

It was the thing to say to people.
"You keep it up and you'll end up in Athens" or
"I heard your mama got a new job? in Athens!"

You know, mean shit like that!

It was only about a 30-minute drive from my hometown, and was an icon.

I did.

I think SirMyk may have gotten more than he bargained for. (I sure hope he has a good grip on that Carribou!)

Montery Jack Flash?

Yesterday was a bust. :( Got a few things done, and a lot of errands, but no housework. So, today, I will be alternately chained to my mop handle and my sewing machine. :( :( And if I don't get the laundry folded, hubby will start to complain soon that he has no socks in his drawer.

I've done that enough times. This year I went in July but only because there was a special discount if you bought it on that date.

Our schools went back last week.

I hate this time of year as the trains fill with students who have too much energy for that time of the morning. Thankfully, most of them give up within a few weeks - after receiving their bursary - and their beauty therapy classes become a thing of the past...at least for another year.
