what's everyone up to today?

well at this point in my day, i am a little drunk...nothing beats a coupla glasses with dinner, am i right? but my days consist of nothing but laundry..oh the madness! i have deemed myself "laundry bitch".....i wake up nights thinking, did i turn the dryer off? then i have to fumble around in the darkness making sure the dryer is in fact, turned off...egad....

i think that is called ocd in some circles.
i am making pancakes as we speak, and then we are off to the park for the morning. matt is gone all day running an archery tournament so i am on my own with the kids. i think we eat out today too.

I'm taking the kids swimming this morning, then later this evening, I'm stuck working the funnelcake booth at the church fair. In between,...housework...what else? At least at the church fair, I get to talk to grown-ups!

Ah, a funnelcake booth is simple. Some people stand around behind the "counter" with loads and loads of a dough type stuff and hot oil, and when someone else comes up to the other side of the counter and says "I want a funnelcake", the people with the dough and oil pour a stream of dough into the oil with a "funnel" shaped object. This pile of dough is fried, looking like a golden brown tangle of rope, then dusted with powdered sugar and handed over in exchage for a few dollars. Yummy.

oh yeah baby, that is my kind of booth.

Yup, I like funnelcakes, too, but I'm on the side of the counter making the funnelcakes, not the other side, that gets to eat them. :(

well, today, i had the day off...it was a fabulous day....we went to a bbq fest and ate some ribs and pulled pork....mmmmm......then we drove up to provincetown, or as the locals call it, p'town...a really, cool, eclectic town..lots of art and people everywhere...then we came home, ate some lobster rolls, watched the sun set from the roof of the inn..and now sipping a vodka tonic by the pool, waiting until it's late enough to 'shut the inn down'..no guests..so we can skinny dip in the pool and get drunk in the hot tub.

oh shut up. no one, and i mean no one wants the hear about you and all your little cape codness. you'd think it never rained there!!!!!

Well, it's wheat harvest time here.. and of course, it's stormy. There were tornado warnings out last night..not where I am, but about 25-30 miles north.
I'm getting kids ready to go to Summer Playground in the Park. It's two whole hours of someone else supervising my kids ;0) I hope the rain holds off for that long, otherwise they'll cancel the park activities.

i am waiting. waiting for someone to come and install the carpet in my bedroom. i am tired of sleeping in the toyroom. i want my room back. i have been waiting for the elusive carpet guy for weeks.(long story) *sigh*

Good Luck Abecedarian I hate the dentist. I don't know what hurts worse the exam and work, or the bill.
