Vladimir Nabokov: The Real Life Of Sebastian Knight

Ah! I see. Thanks Pontalba. I cheated lol. But aren't all of Nabokov's male characters rather foolish when it comes to matters of the heart? Have we discussed this before? Probably.

    Margaret Atwood: Wilderness Tips

Haven't read any of Wildnerness Tips. One day... Shade, if you dislike those you've mentioned, then Alias Grace is a good not-so-apathetic choice of Atwood's. It's still as sensational but very historical in style, and less fantastical.

    John Crowley: Little Big

Never read this but heard so much about it from everyone that I can't believe there are so few posts here!

    Natsuo Kirino: Out

I haven't yet read this, but I doubt that's true. People are very interested in hearing (or reading, rather) what you have to say.

    MP3,JukeBox or Ipod?

I'm er, *cough*conceding and considering buying one of those things*cough* so it looks as though I'm serving myself a portion of humble pie here (But thank the lord it's on a different thread, huh). It's only because iTunes is fabulous and my mobile is just, er... not fabulous. So...

Vladimir Nabokov: The Real Life Of Sebastian Knight

Oh, I changed my avatar again. I prefer the other one too, might go and change it back. Completely lost with the 'Ninka' stuff, so will have to reread myself now. Hmmm.

Who is your favourite author, and why?

Great authors! My favourite book (at the moment) is The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Haven't read any others of hers though.

Vladimir Nabokov: The Real Life Of Sebastian Knight

ROFLOLTIC Peder. I will keep the notes. I, er, sent text messages to myself. I'm sad, I know. But can I ask a question? Should I spoiler it? I will... Is the real question not who killed Sebastian, but why?

Vladimir Nabokov: The Real Life Of Sebastian Knight

Guess what! I finished, I finished. :D I was so excited during the last few chapters, because I worked out that... SPOILER: 'V' was the Sevastian bit of Sebastian. They were the same, but V was the Russian Sebastian, whilst Sebastian was the one that was "out-England England" Sebastian...

    Books you didn't finish

I loved Sophie's World. I was fifteen when I first read it and it made me want to be a philosopher. Jostein Gaarder is probably the only author whose books I've read all of. Didn't finish tons and tons, way too many to list here. Recently, I didn't finish Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller...

What the Hell?! Post deletion blows!

What about the Bulgarian? I do wonder where (or who, rather) this Russian influence may be! ;)

Vladimir Nabokov: The Real Life Of Sebastian Knight

A doppelganger? Oooh!! I'm working my way through this interview, which apparently mentions SK and doppelganger ideas. I'll let you know if I find anything interesting.
