So many good books out there, why bother carrying on reading if your struggling with it.
I used to read until the end even if i was not enjoying it, always in the hope that it would get better, usually it never did.
Wolves Eat Dogs - Martin Cruz Smith
The Eyre Affair - Jasper Fforde
Aberystwyth Mon Amour - Malcolm Pryce
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova
The Eight - Katherine Neville
Can't make up my mind which order to read them in yet !
Been away for a few months and when i came back i thought i was on a different forum.
I do like it though, just seems a bit slicker than the old one.
Birthday coming up soon. (kids have asked me what i want, silly question!!)
I've heard good things about both Jasper Fforde & Malcolm Pryce and i was thinking of putting them on my list.
The Ayre Affair- J Fforde
Aberystwyth Mon Amour - M Pryce
Is the two i'll start with, anybody read...
Hi again,
I've been away sorting some bits and pieces out for a while now and i have not posted since January. But i'm back now and wow have things changed, new site, new name, a lot of new members.
I've managed to keep on reading in between sorting stuff out and look forward to some more...
I make my own bookmark at the start of every year date it and write down every thing i read for that year on it.
Started in 2000 with about 50-70 books logged on each, this years has six so far.
At the end of each year i laminate them to keep a permanent record.
I have to start stop going into every book and charity shop i pass first.
Once i'm in it's very rare i come out empty handed.
I do seem to get throught them though, my TBR pile is about 15 at the moment.
Can't see myself ever having a book freeze no matter how large my pile gets.
