I missed this thread back when it was first started - I thought Kangaroo was readily available in the UK. I heard that during the mad cow thing it was increasing in availability as a 'safe' red meat. No?
According to this website the photo is in the books: Have You Seen These and The Early Asimov. The website above discusses the former book - note the interesting change to the image:
According to this site the picture was also in The Gods Themselves:
:) Hope that helps!
I looked for the first one, but the search terms you've given are a little too generic. If you think of anything more specific about the book feel free to add it and I may have more success. Miss Shelf (another member) is really good at this, but I think she's only around on weekdays. Hopefully...
Just downloaded Firefox and it appears that the problem has been solved :D . The browser is slower than Safari, though.
It also allows me to finally be able to pay some of my bills online, as the applet wasn't working for me before. Not sure why I never considered that the browser may be at...
Man, our library charges upwards of $3 for most books - I feel ripped off! :D Actually, I don't mind the library making a buck or two. The public one in my town is brilliant - current books and lovely librarians who will go the extra mile and never make a fuss over inter-library loans (I have...

That's how I read it too. What age is "unemancipated"? If that means 14, I can understand this in a way. By the age of 14 one should not be having sex, let alone making decisions such as this without appropriate counselling, and in many cases this would be best from the parents... but in some...
That's probably a little out of context in this thread, it was just something that grated on me when I posted it and was driving me insane. I was reading a thread in which someone was talking about a literary work and trying to sounds "well read"... but the grammar, spelling and abbreviations...
I found this site, 'Stump the Bookseller' while Googling for Sarge's book. It is basically a book searching site which might amuse bibliophiles to assist in finding books for people. I'm not sure I like the fact that people are charged for the service, though... Why not just put some advertising...
Hey sarge - welcome to the forum and the best of luck for your deployment :) .
On the second book, I did a bit of a Google and came up with this one: Black and Blue Magic. Incidently, if this does turn out to be the book, check out the blog entry that led me to it here, as I thought it...
Hi and welcome to TBF! Not a vampire book reader, but do a search and see what comes up :). I'm sure some other members will trot along in the next little while and offer some suggestions for you too.
