The "I had a bad day" thread

I don't take the train to work! :p

Well... I did get a rather large phone bill but it's not enough to spoil my day! I'm a happy bunny and I had a great day! I even got the very last of those new and orgasmically good peanut butter kit kats from the shop! Chocolate, coffee, out of work early, and it's Friday! A great day indeed :D

Ha! I knew you could do it if you tried. :)

Oh, for goodness' sake. I give up.

They sound revolting. Bleurggh. :D

Wabbit, go start your own "I've had a wonderfully, fantastically, brilliant day" thread somewhere else. Sounds like your hyping out on chocolate to me :D

(really just kidding, it's nice to see your bouncy self back, you've been away for a while?)

Thank you :) I just been a busy bunny! It's good to find some time to be back here!

Yeah, no thread-jacking here. Just sulking, moaning, and overall complaining about your work day and how miserable it was.

Imagine what Wabbit's going to be like over Easter? Better get him off here by then or he'll be ruining the whole tone

Aw, he's just glad to be back among the readers AND he's high on chocolate:D Take away his chocolate and he'd have a bad enough day to report;)

Chocolate.......and.....it isn't even Easter yet. You are one lucky person.:)

I am having a bad day. I sawed, nailed, and pounded making a couple 'for sale" signs for our house. Now I have to get the nerve to put the signs out on the road.

Awww Muggle, why are you selling? And where are you moving to? I hope you still get to see bears :)

We are getting to a stage in life where we think we should downsize. Our house and property would be too much for just 'one" of us to take care of
if something happened to the other.

We would like to stay in the Charlottesville area, anywhere within 10 to 15 miles. I am afraid we will not see any more bears when we move. It is a difficult decision for us as we will be giving up many things we really enjoy. We are going to miss it terribly in fact. However, we are trying to look ahead.

It must be really hard, especially when you dearly love where you live. I hope you can both find somewhere that you can enjoy. It's always quite an upheaval so hope things go smoothly for you.

The latest bad thing that ruined a day for me (and the days since, as I haven't solved it yet:mad: ): WinWord disappeared from my computer!! I screamed and swore and scared the poor cat  but the whole programme was simply gone. No idea why or how. Now this would be more easily solved if it wasn't for the fact that I have Windows 98 (feel free to laugh at me) and I can't install a newer Word. And noone seems to have saved their ancient installation disks for Word 97, can't imagine why... :p What's going to happen with my novels? My book database? All my writing... It's probably a sign I should get a computer from the actual 21st century, but I don't want to spend that much money just now... *sigh*

Being sensible is miserable. But ultimately you'll be happier for having been so. All I can say is don't try to 'force the issue'. Every time I've done that, its been the wrong move. ;)

My wife and I will really, really, miss where we now live. We enjoy it very much as we have a very private setting and enjoy all kinds of wild life in our backyard/woods. My wife's sister spends a week with us every summer and i think she even feels worse than we do about our decision to sell. She enjoys sitting on our screened porch in the summer and reading a book and watching the bears. At night the silence is golden as there is no noise from traffic, etc. I hope we are not making a mistake as we can still handle the place now but are trying to look ahead a little. :(

Another vent. My car is still busted. I have a courtesy car, but it's a POS. It wouldn't start this morning for about 30 minutes of constant trying. Then, I took it to the petrol station to fill it up, and when I tried to start it, it failed yet again. And, of course people had to turn around and look at me and my daft car. Stress and embarrassment. :p

LOL - look at all dem angry faces! :D

You have my sympathy. :( And I have Windows 98 too! Damn computers... They're only a good thing when they work properly.

I had a very bad day at work, and my mum had a very bad day connected with selling my late uncle's house, but I won't explain as it would take too long and just get me angry again.

Not to rain on your parade, but it sounds like you aren't ready to leave yet. Would any of your kids or extended family be interested in doing some sort of timeshare/purchase to keep the property in the family? Then is can be a vacation place..I hate to see you and your wife leave before you're ready. Besides, where are you going to find a place big enough for all your books? ;)
