The "I had a bad day" thread

yes...../sigh/those Nabokovians are just thick on the ground arn't they? And you know they will just take over any thead they happen to light upon.....hmmm.... :D

Its a curse. /she said with a perfectly straight face, nodding seriously/

I am in the middle of a bad day. This morning I got up, prepared for a phone interview, and tried to call, with no success. The person who initially contacted me is totally unavailable. I have been waiting for her to email me since Friday, when she initially left a message on my phone saying she wanted to do an interview today. I never got another email or call from her, and she has been totally unreachable ever since. So I'm sitting here at home, strung out and wishing I just had her email (I've also tried to look that up, unsuccessfully). This sucks. :(

Woah, I called again and miraculously got in touch. Fortunately my chances still seem to be good and now I have a defnite time scheduled. So, things are better now :)

Yesterday, my f***ing neighbour, who is probably on crack or something, kept me up half the night (for the ***th time) playing his awful music and playing computer games with the volume turned UP. He just doesn't give a crap. And he was still at it at noon when I decided to get out of the apartment to get some peace only to discover that it was high school graduationday for the closets high school and they were all riding around in their cars honking their horns and screaming and whistling. I know they are young and happy, god bless them, but they ANNOY me. I just wanted some peace and quiet. OK, enough complaining from the old hag.

A friend was meant to pop out to my house at 2pm but alas it will be 6/7 pm before she gets here. Any idea of taking in a play is out and the window and frankly i'm too tired to be even mildly entertaining. We'll no doubt end up in some noisey pub with me being unable to hear her. I would suggest a meal followed by a film but she dispises films!
