what's everyone up to today?

yum, cobbler. i could eat a horse.

we lost our ball game tonight. and i missed an easy out. i was hungry and distracted.
 
I just baked a spice cake and put french vanilla frosting on it. And ate quite a bit of the frosting... mmmm frosting out of can...... *gurgles*
 
I got my exam results back today and am trying to keep from going over them again and scrutinising every little thing that I didn't think I did good enough in. Other than that I've been reading a little bit and right now I'm sitting infront of the computer eating cookies... well I was until I finished the cookies... Also looking at my birthday presents from yesterday.

I didn't do too bad. Four 1's and four 2's. A little disapointed with my seperate marks though... I got a 4 for my music solo performance (drumming), I have no confidence. :eek:
 
Well, happy belated birthday!

Music solo performances are scary, specially in exam conditions, so people play a lot worse in an exam than they normally do. You did well and now you can relax for the rest of the summer

Just wondering.. music solo performance? :eek: What are you doing?
I never had to do such a thing, luckily, I totally lack the feeling for rhythm. Only thing I was good at when it comes to music was analysing structure, key and so on of the composings.
 
Had a great day! Well, not really, but he did get the phone call hubby and I have been praying for. He got a new job!!!! Yahoo!!!! This means a significant pay-raise and now ends will finally meet, with some left over, yippee!! Not sure exactly when he starts, either Monday or in two weeks, depending. Other than that, I did the usual, grocery shopping, child-tending, house-keeping.

Oh, yeah!!! His first big paycheck, and we're going on a date. We haven't been on one for a while, and it is starting to show. :eek:
 
cajunmama-I am glad for you too, and hope you have a nice time together on your date.

Jenn- Maybe it is the heat, I know I've had a hell of a week and I'm emotionally exhausted, my brain feels like mush and I have even gotten weepy a few times which is not like me at all.
 
Grumpy, moody and testy forum members today! But it looks to have brought that rare Dutch species, the Martin, out of hiding. Every cloud has a silver lining! :)
